Fundraising for Dogs Trust Leeds

Proud to support Dogs Trust

Over the past four year’s we have been fundraising for Dogs Trust Leeds, and as a team of pet lovers, it’s certainly a charity very close to our hearts. Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. Throughout their network of 21 Rehoming Centres across the UK and 1 in Ireland, they care for over 14,000 stray, unwanted and abandoned dogs each year.

Following our latest Annual Fundraising Golf Day, we’re proud to announce we have raised close to £16,000 for Dogs Trust so far.

Our annual donations will help the team provide the very best care for many stray and abandoned dogs, and will go towards paying for vet fees, equipment, bedding and the maintenance of the rehoming centre.

We are very passionate about supporting Dogs Trust and will continue to do so with our Golf Day Fundraiser, which we hold in August every year, and all donations go to Dogs Trust Leeds.

At Leodis, we pride ourselves on our commitment to giving back to our
communities and our fundraising for Dogs Trust is one of the ways we can do just that.

At Leodis we’re a team of animal lovers, none more so than Louise, our Office Manager who has 4 rescue dogs and 2 rescue cats…

“As a lover of animals, over the last few years I have had the privilege of taking on 4 rescue dogs and 2 kittens.

Taking on rescues is a challenge but a challenge well worth doing. The immense pride you get from watching them develop from being terrified and wanting to bite every hand that goes near them, cower away from everyone and everything, flinch at bright lights and loud bangs to becoming confident and sometimes demanding individuals is second to none.

My animals have all had their place on Leodis Facebook page and I was so proud when I could take Rosie, our ex puppy farm breeder King Charles spaniel, to Dogs Trust, Leeds to present the fundraising cheque from Leodis in celebration of the companies 30th anniversary and then let her spend the day at the office with me and my colleagues.

All animals are for life not just the moment and when looked after properly and with genuine love and affection will blossom and give those feelings back tenfold. None deserve to be abused or abandoned so to all the rescues out there I personally say thank you.”

Dogs Trust – close to our hearts

We’re over the moon to announce that at this year’s Annual Golf Day, we beat our previous total and raised a fantastic £6,210 for Dogs Trust Leeds.

Every year, our Managing Director, Martin Brown organises the annual golfing fundraiser, inviting colleagues, friends and family to take part. This year’s event was held at Romanby Golf & Country Club in Northallerton. “Working for Dogs Trust, I see first-hand how many dogs need our help, and it’s thanks to businesses like Leodis that we’re able to give the dogs everything they need before they find a forever home.” – Andrew Bainbridge, Dogs Trust Darlington
