OUR STORY
Founded in 1991 by a lifelong Leeds man, Leodis Stairlifts began in humble surroundings, from shared offices to small units in Castleford, built on hard work, honesty and a commitment to quality.
What started as a local stairlift company grew through strong relationships with the communities we served, always keeping our family-run values at heart.
From those early beginnings, our belief has always stayed the same: honest advice, quality workmanship and putting people first. And as Leodis grew, so did the places we called home.
We moved to York Road on the A64, marking an exciting new chapter as Leodis continued to grow. It gave us a more established home while keeping us firmly rooted in the local community, with our 24/7, 365 days a year call-out service ensuring we were always there when our customers needed us.

By 2010, Leodis Stairlifts had outgrown its previous premises and moved further along York Road on the A64 in Whinmoor, Leeds, into a larger property. The new premises gave us space for a dedicated showroom, a larger workshop for our engineers and the facilities to manage everything from straight, curved and outdoor solutions, alongside the thorough testing and reconditioning that goes into our affordable second-hand stairlifts.
As our reputation grew through excellent customer service and recommendations, so did the business. In 2016, we expanded into the property next door, giving our team even more room to support customers while continuing to operate our York Road showroom.
In 2015, we opened a second showroom and workshop in Gildersome, Leeds, marking another important milestone in the Leodis story. It was a reflection of the growth we’d achieved by putting our customers first, supporting our local communities and building a reputation as a trusted local stairlift installer.
From humble beginnings to two dedicated locations, our journey has always been shaped by the people we serve. 35 years on, that commitment remains at the heart of Leodis.
