Surveyor/salesperson

Location: East, West & South Yorkshire (In-person / Field-based)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Highly competitive base salary + generous, uncapped commission (post-threshold)

 

About the Role

Due to rapid, exciting growth, we are seeking a passionate and motivated Surveyor / Salesperson to join our close-knit, committed team. In this fast-paced field role, you will convert home and commercial surveys into sales, offering our customers high-quality new, reconditioned, and rental stairlift solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Survey & Convert: Conduct thorough surveys in residential and commercial properties, converting leads into sales using ethical, non-aggressive techniques.

  • Customer Excellence: Deliver outstanding customer service and meticulous attention to detail at every stage of the process.

  • Business Growth: Identify local B2B opportunities (e.g., establishing referral partnerships with local mobility and care shops).

  • CRM Management: Thoroughly and accurately utilise our CRM system to track leads and customer details.

  • Aftercare: Conduct post-sale follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage 5-star online reviews.

  • Team Contribution: Participate in the out-of-hours sales rota (1 in 4 weeks/weekends, with on-call payment).

About You

  • Empathic & Professional: You can build rapport quickly and show genuine empathy, care, and tact when dealing with our customers.

  • Driven to Succeed: Highly motivated by clear personal and professional goals, with a track record of meeting KPIs (unit sales, margin, and add-ons).

  • Organised: Excellent timekeeping skills and comfortable working independently in the field.

  • Flexible: Willing to support the business during occasional weekends or out-of-hours rotas.

  • Experienced: 3 years of sales experience is preferred. While stairlift sales experience (1+ years) is a major plus, it is not essential as full, comprehensive product training is provided.

About the Role

At Leodis Stairlifts, our business is growing rapidly. We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Stairlift Engineer to join our expanding team.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for the high-quality installation, servicing, and repair of various straight and curved stairlifts. You will work across domestic dwellings as well as residential and commercial settings across the West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, and Humberside regions.

The ideal candidate will reside within these patch areas and bring a strong work ethic, high standards of craftsmanship, and a customer-first attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation: Efficiently install a variety of stairlift models, including both straight and curved systems.

  • Maintenance & Repair: Conduct routine servicing, minor repairs, and urgent emergency call-out visits.

  • Customer Care: Act as a professional, friendly, and reassuring face of the company, always maintaining exceptionally high service standards.

  • Digital Admin: Complete job cards and log service details accurately using our dedicated app-based software.

  • Emergency Support: Serve as the first point of contact for our out-of-hours on-call service during your rota week.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified: NVQ Level 2 in Stairlift Maintenance (or equivalent qualification) is highly preferred.

  • Experienced: You possess significant, hands-on stairlift experience and are fully proficient in installing and diagnosing both straight and curved lifts.

  • Tech-Literate: Comfortable using smartphone/tablet apps for logging job details.

  • Customer-Focused: You take pride in outstanding workmanship and love delivering great service to customers in their homes.

Requirements

  • Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (Required).

  • Location: Must reside within West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, or Humberside (Required).

  • Right to Work: Valid authorisation to work in the UK (Required).

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Partnership Development Manager to establish and develop strategic partnerships that generate new business opportunities and drive sustainable growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced partnership / business development professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying new revenue streams and creating long-term commercial partnerships.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and managing relationships with organisations that can refer customers to Leodis Stairlifts. These may include:

  • Mobility Retailers
  • Local Authorities
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Care Providers
  • Housing Associations
  • NHS Trusts
  • Charities
  • Estate Agents

You will become the face of Leodis Stairlifts within these sectors, developing trusted relationships that lead to increased referrals and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, approach and secure new strategic referral partners.
  • Develop and implement partnership strategies to increase sales and market presence.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Conduct presentations, networking events and partner meetings.
  • Negotiate mutually beneficial commercial agreements where appropriate.
  • Create joint marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Monitor referral performance and partner engagement using agreed KPIs.
  • Work closely with the Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Represent Leodis Stairlifts at exhibitions, networking events and industry conferences.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of partnership opportunities using the company’s CRM system.
  • Produce regular reports on partnership activity, pipeline performance and revenue generation.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is confident, driven and passionate about building lasting business relationships.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in Partnership Development, Business Development, Account Management or Channel Sales.
  • A proven track record of generating new business and increasing revenue.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience working with healthcare, social care, local authorities or mobility providers would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • A full UK driving licence.
