We have a solution we believe is just pawfect
It’s not just people that stairlifts can help with getting up and down stairs easier. Turns out they’re pretty handy for helping dogs too…yes, we also occasionally do stairlifts for dogs!
Stairlifts for dogs are a great way to help your furry friend get around your home. Whether your dog is aging and having trouble navigating stairs or is suffering from an injury, a stair lift can make their life much easier.
Yes, we know it’s not an everyday request, but we couldn’t resist sharing this story with you…
Stairlift for Titus the Labrador
Earlier this year, a gentleman from West Yorkshire called us to see if we could help his faithful pet Labrador Titus, get up and down the stairs as his back legs were getting weaker and as he slept on the bedroom floor, the strenuous exercise involved with tackling the stairs was placing too great a strain on the dog’s health.
Mr Jones therefore had a choice. Carry Titus up and down stairs for the rest of his days or come up with a novel alternative.
So, always willing to go that extra mile for our customers, one of our friendly team visited the house the next day to carry out a thorough survey of the staircase and just two days later installed a reconditioned straight stairlift with a footrest made much larger so Titus could sit on the footboard!
Mr. Jones was really appreciative and both he and Titus have continued to spend many more evenings watching T.V in bed!
Aside from this being a lovely story, it does highlight the sort of issues family members face all the time. In our case, the loved ones they’re concerned about typically have two legs, not four, but the issues remain the same.
How do you make it easier for someone with ailing health to enjoy their own home?
For us, the answer is that a stairlift really can help make facing the daily fight against age related conditions that bit easier.
If you have a family member (or faithful friend) who you think would benefit from a stairlift, why not call us now on 0800 542 6045 and we’ll be only too happy to explore some options and come up with the ‘pawfect’ solution!
