If there is a doorway at the bottom of a stairway, sometimes the only solution is to install a stairlift with a hinged track against the external wall.
To avoid obstruction of the doorway and hazard the hinge on the track lifts as the stairlift travels up the track.
When the stairlift carriage journeys down the track the hinge closes, allowing the stairlift to complete its trip. The stairlift has a charge point on the track just beyond the hinge and at the top of the track also.
With the hinge folded, the stairlift sits on its charge point. The stairlift is easily parked and called via the remotes, 2 supplied as standard. The stairlift carriage is parked on its charge point which charges the batteries, the Bison 180 curved stairlift needs to be parked on a charge point when not in use.
The Leodis curved stairlift features all the latest safety features and a digital display allowing the user to see the status of the stairlift. The arms are fashioned with comfort in mind and have an easy use operational lever. An inertia seat belt is installed as standard, as are sensors, for safety.
The curved stairlift track, which is fitted securely to the staircase, is very slim and due to its modular fixings, it follows the contours of the staircase. The stairlift track is built directly on site enabling an installation within days of the survey and actual installation takes about 4 hours depending on the configuration of the staircase.
As mentioned, the track also has a charge point at the top so the stairlift can be left to charge overnight. At the top landing, the seat is effortlessly swiveled using a paddle lever, this enables the user safe exit and entry onto the landing.
