May has been a busy month for our team at Leodis! As well as carrying out many local installations in the Yorkshire area, we have also visited many homes in the Manchester area. Here are just a few of the stairlifts we have installed this month:
Bison 80
One of our recent Leeds installations was for Mr Barr, who struggled with mobility due to issues with his legs. Although Mr Barr already had a straight stairlift, this was no longer sufficient for his needs as it stopped on the fan steps. After seeing Leodis online, Mr Barr and his son contacted us to arrange a survey with one of our engineers. Russell, our engineer, visited Mr Barr’s home the following day to measure the staircase, and after assessing this alongside the needs of the client, suggested a power folding hinge at the bottom so access through the front door was still available for emergency services etc.
Our engineer then returned shortly after to remove the existing stairlift and install the new Bison 80. Mr Barr was very happy with the final result and grateful that it was so much easier to now get up and down the stairs.
Reconditioned Bison 80
We also installed a Bison 80 for another Leeds client, Mrs Harper, who struggled to use the stairs following a number of operations on her knees, so had been sleeping in her living room. After feeling fed up of not having full independence in her home, Leodis stairlifts were recommended by a neighbour.
Following a quick phone call, our engineer surveyed the stairs on the same day and showed Mrs Harper photos of the ranges of stairlifts we provide. Mrs Harper decided to install a reconditioned curved stairlift which our engineer, Chris, efficiently carried out.
After showing Mrs Harper how to use her lift, she couldn’t believe how pain free it was to go upstairs!
Brooks 120 Rental
Many clients contact us because they have been recommended to us by a friend, and this was the case for Mr Gardner. Suffering from a terminal illness, Mr Gardner found it painful and tiring going upstairs. After contacting our team and having a survey on the same day, we returned to his Bolton home to install a stairlift the following morning as we understood the urgency in needing one.
Following the quick intall, Mr Gardner was using his stairlift, pain free and without getting tired. Mr and Mrs Gardner were both impressed with the speed of service given by our team.
New Minivator 950+
We also travelled to Hull this month to install a new Minivator 950+ for Mr and Mrs Pieper. After looking online and reading about Leodis stairlifts, Mr Pieper gave us a call to arrange a survey as he didn’t want to see his wife struggling with the stairs anymore, due to her arthritis. Following a survey, our engineer suggested a sliding track so Mrs Pieper didn’t have to struggle lifting a manual lift hinged track. After agreeing to this, our engineers Chris and Matt returned to install this. Mrs Pieper can now enjoy the freedom of her home without struggling.
