Recently, our team of engineers were called to a spa hotel in Sheffield. Due to the passenger lift being broken, the hotel required something quick and efficient for their staircase leading down to the spa and gym area, to avoid any injuries on the cold, tiled steps.
Resistant to repair or replace the passenger lift, the hotel decided it was time to wave goodbye to it and say hello to a cheaper, more comfortable alternative for their guests – a Bison 80 stairlift. The new system will take guests from the changing rooms down to the leisure area of the building.
The Leodis team fitted the stairlift on an all-tile surface, something that doesn’t occur every day, giving us the chance to widen our portfolio and experience for future projects. Understanding the urgency, due to the passenger lift being broken, our team were quick to return to the hotel after surveying, and worked closely with managers to ensure the installation caused no obstruction.
