The Leodis Annual Golf Day 2021

The beginning of August means only one thing, the Leodis Annual Golf Day!

This year’s event held on 6th August was a special one for us, as we celebrated our 30th year of trading as Leodis Stairlifts Ltd.

Since 1991, Leodis Stairlifts have been helping people across the North of England regain independence within their own homes.

Our 2021 Golf Day presented the perfect opportunity to mark this milestone with family and friends.

Every year, our Managing Director Martin Brown organises the annual golfing fundraiser, inviting colleagues, friends and family to take part.

On Friday we hosted the event at Forest Pines Golf Club in Brigg near Scunthorpe.

It was a very welcome return after the disruption of Covid last year.

The day began with hot drinks and bacon rolls to set everyone up for the 18 holes of golf that would follow. Our biggest event to date, 13 teams tee’d off, and naturally everybody wanted to take home the top prize and earn bragging rights for the next 12 months!

The golf wrapped up at around 4 o’clock and was followed by a meal and presentation to award the winners on the day.

“Fantastic time really enjoyed the courses and the company, great cause well done to you all at Leodis.” – Kevin Bates, Ringword Ford.

Fundraising for the Dogs Trust

We’re incredibly proud to announce that this year we raised over £5,500 which will be going to Dogs Trust, who have rehoming centres nearby in Leeds and Darlington, a charity very close to our hearts.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. Throughout their network of 21 Rehoming Centres across the UK and 1 in Ireland, they care for over 14,000 stray, unwanted and abandoned dogs each year.

At Leodis, we pride ourselves on our commitment to giving back to our communities and this donation is one of the ways we can do just that.

On the day we were joined by Andrew Bainbridge and team from Dogs Trust Darlington.

Andrew said: “The Golf Day was a great success and it was wonderful to be involved. Despite the weather, we had so much fun, and of course, it was all for a very worthy cause.

“Working for Dogs Trust, I see first-hand how many dogs need our help, and it’s thanks to businesses like Leodis that we’re able to give the dogs everything they need before they find a forever home.”

Dogs Trust

We’d just like to thank everyone once again for taking part and helping us raise a fantastic amount for the Dogs Trust.

We’re already looking forward to the next one!
