Here at Leodis Stairlifts we pride ourselves on our commitment to giving back to the community.
Part of that is our annual charity golf day that is organised by our very own MD, Martin Brown.
This year we hosted the event at Woodsome Hall in Huddersfield. The typical British weather was kind to us this year and the sun even showed its face on the day. This was a welcome change to previous years which has even seen hail fall on us in August!
We proudly raised over £2000 on the day and received a very kind additional donation from YESSS Electrical of £500. This will go to the Leeds Dogs Trust environment enrichment fund.
This year the money raised went to the well-deserved charity, the Dogs Trust.
Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. Throughout their network of 18 Rehoming Centres across the UK and 1 in Ireland, they care for over 16,000 stray, unwanted and abandoned dogs each year.
This month our Business Development Manager, Russ Pickett, and Operations Manager, David Fieldhouse, visited the Leeds rehoming centre to give the donation to the doggies.
Russ commented, “the golf day was a huge success for the 10th year running, and the money raised is going to a really well-deserved charity. We felt very welcomed at the Leeds rehoming centre and it was lovely to see the doggies being so well looked after. Here’s to next year!”
We would once again like to thank everyone for organising and taking part in the event and raising money for a fantastic local charity! We would also like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Dogs Trust for welcoming us.
We were proud to raise over £2000 as part of our annual charity golf event.
All going to this ‘pawsitively’ great cause!
